MSORV is a local affiliated society of both the Microscopy Society of America (MSA) and the Microanalysis Society (MAS). Our regional footprint stretches throughout Ohio, focusing on the Columbus - Cincinnati - Dayton region to Indianapolis, Indiana, and into the Northern Kentucky area.

We welcome and encourage all university, industry and government professionals as well as students, commercial microscopy companies and any other individuals with an interest in any form of microscopy, to join MSORV and participate in our semi-annual meetings. Meetings typically occur in April and October of each year and include local and nationally known experts discussing current innovations, as well as various and interesting topics in the microscopy field. Meetings also feature vendor and student presentations. Refreshments are provided along with the opportunity to network with others folks with similar interests. Meetings

The Spring Meeting 2012 is scheduled for 18 April 2012 at UES, Inc., 4401 Dayton-Xenia Road, Dayton, OH. We are hosting two speakers: Dr. Dave Piston, a Past-President of MSA, from Vanderbilt University, and Dr. John Henry Scott, a Past-President of MAS, from NIST.
