From the President

Welcome to the Microscopy Society of the Ohio River Valley (MSORV)

MSORV is a local affiliated society of the Microscopy Society of America (MSA) and the Microbeam Analysis Society (MAS). Following our reorganization in 2007 we have conducted six successful meetings. Attendance is averaging around 50 as we enjoy excellent national and local speakers along with committed corporate sponsorship for venues and refreshments. We are expanding outreach to students in 2010 as our fall meeting will feature competitive presentations with a financial reward.
As always, we encourage everyone in the region who uses any type of microscopy to join MSORV. Meetings are held in the April and October with the location rotating among Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, and any other city that the membership wishes.
